I’m truly humbled and deeply honoured to receive this
endorsement from The Feuerstein Institute, an organization that
has shaped the way the world understands intelligence, learning,
and cognitive development.
Growing up undiagnosed with dyslexia, I struggled through school
feeling “slow,” “different,” and misunderstood. It was only much
later in life that I discovered thinkers like Reuven Feuerstein,
whose work helped me understand that intelligence is modifiable
— that the brain can grow, adapt, and rewire itself in extraordinary
ways.
Feuerstein’s philosophy played a huge role in helping me rebuild
my own thinking patterns, problem-solving abilities, and
confidence. His approach gave me language for the way I
naturally learned, and it gave me hope that being different was
not a weakness — it was a strength waiting to be shaped.
To now have my screenplay Hercules and Me officially endorsed
by the Feuerstein Institute is a full-circle moment I never
imagined. Their recognition means more to me than any award,
because their program mirrors the heart of my story:
that every child, no matter how they learn, carries untapped
brilliance.
My sincere thanks to Dr. Jeanne Zehr and the Feuerstein
Programs of North America for this honour. I’m excited for the
possibility of future collaborations that can help bring awareness,
tools, and hope to students and families everywhere.
This journey continues — with gratitude in my heart.
